The Future of Nostalgia

There is a culture of recycling inherent within the fashion industry, but this struggle with a lack of originality is not exactly recent news. It would seem, as the same ideas are recycled and reused in fashion, that there is no "future", so to speak, but rather a continually repeating, perpetual present.

A void between the two opposing views on fashion and the subscribers to such attitudes has emerged, where those who take the line that fashion is simply shallow and materialistic compete with those who take an enjoyment in creativity and make a partial link between identity and appearance.
